De meest karakteristieke hellingen worden gekenmerkt door diepe kleibodems op een gemiddelde hoogte van 380 meter, gelegen in het natuurlijke amfitheater dat de twee abdijen van Le Barroux van elkaar scheidt.<br \/>\nDe druiven worden met de hand geoogst op het moment van optimale rijpheid.
